Its common courtesy you leave feedback on two other pieces in the same area you are planning to post in. If you go post crazy, and don’t plan on leaving feedback for others, a mod or admin will come by and lock up all your posts until you start leaving feedback. We have a section we keep these posts in, so NO, they are not deleted, just locked and moved until you become a better member.
As for battles, in each battle area, is a sticky or announcement on the rules of engagement.
