umm... neither... new school is becoming more and more idiotic compared to oldschool's simplicity and funk-like personality
i think a blend of both is the best combination, nothing too old nothing too new, but yet together it's still fresh and not too out there, what a lot of people consider rap is nowadays can hardly be called rap in my eyes... hip hop is only dead to those who don't appreciate it, otherwise it lives quite well in the depths
