Who finds the word "nigger" offensive to them as a black man.

Who here is "white" and can say it to a black friend.

Who here thinks it shouldn't be used at all.

Who here thinks both races should be able to say it.

Who here is black and only says it to other black people?

I personally think it shouldn't be used.
I don't see why black people need a specific way to address eachother.
Or why if I say it should have stigma. When it means the same thing
either way. Which of course is uneducated.

Hearing anyone saying it doesnt have any impact on my life , but i do feel its a bit overused. I never call any of the 1 or 2 black friends i have or black friends of my white friends that i know niggers cause i think it might be offensive. Sometimes when we and my friends are bored we make fun of black people by goin like "yo wadup nigga" and shit like that. I think they say it too much to the point that it shows black people are the ones that are seperating themselves from everyone else because theyre using that term. But i mostly never give it any thought , thats life.

That last line is what I was trying to say.

I dont really think anyone should say it, but if black people are going to say it, them they cannot be offended when white people do. Unless its used as an obvious racist comment. But a white person saying, 'look at that nigga' or 'whats up nigga' or whatever the hell, should not be offensive. Its not white peoples fault that people still use that word, its there own damn fault. They've made it 'cool' or 'hip'.

white people shouldn't say it, and black people should stop saying it, especiallly suburban ass niggas who say it around their white friends and think its cool to let them say it too, once the rap trend fades out and wiggas start dissappearing it won't be as much of an issue anymore

The term "nigger" is a vulgar term. Always has been. But when it comes to sayin the word "Nigga"...I feel that's different. Me...yea...I'm not black. Just your average run-of-the-mill spic. (Mexican-American actually) But alot of the people in my race use that term too when we're refering to people. Such examples; "Dat's my nigga right there." or "Fuck whut dat nigga says!" The term nigga is just a reference to another individual. It's a matter of taste. Use the term if you're comfortable sayin it...don't if ur offended. Plain and simple. The moral of the story...is if you can't say a certain word in front of a certain person of fear that ur gonna offend someone...don't say it. You have no business doin so. Me...I say NIGGA...not NIGGER. Some may argue that they are the same thing...but they aren't. Just another word in our personal dictionaries...but i wouldn't block it from anywhere. That interferes with what we as artists stand up for. FREEDOM OF SPEECH. That includes using words FREELY. If you as an artist get offended by this word...maybe you're in the wrong line of work. You're too touchy. Nuff said niggaz.

personally i dont find the word nigger offensive unless its MEANT to be... the tone u speak to someone with explains it all and whether ur saying it violently.. so i think n e body should be able to say it.. same goes with spic chink cracker honkie jap and jew... but im not black so i guess maybe that's y.. although i couldn't give two fucks if someone's calling me a spic or not as long as they're not serious about it, ppl need to learn to laugh at the racism instead of killing eachother of it
