MARYLAND - From one of the most unlikely places for Hip Hop labels to seek rap talent, Frederick Maryland has quietly given birth to a rising star by the name of J-Mill. In a day and age where artist are still taking the first deal labels offer them J-Mill has stayed adamant about staying indie and releasing records off of his own imprint.

Widely known for being one of the only hip hop indie acts to have a song featured on one of the largest race car video games (Midnight Club Los Angeles) in the gaming industry. His song titled “Like Dat” was chosen by giant videogame developer Rockstar Games Inc to appear on its second installment of the videogame. Once chosen, J-Mill instantly recognized the opportunity and began making preparations to make his mark in the music industry.

J-Mill has patiently and quietly made a name by literally taking his career into his own hands. “[J-Mill] He has been able to brand himself at a fraction of the cost of a major would through online endeavors and avenues. His ability to manipulate and come up with a blueprint that works gives him maximum results with minimum effort all because of the internet” says William Lee an A&R for Streetz Certified Records.

J-Mill has a business and marketing savvy uncommon in a lot of today’s rap acts not to mention a flow that appeals to the masses. He has sold over 2000 units on ITunes alone while simultaneously releasing over 30 projects as an independent artist and C.E.O. His song for the video game has garnered over 110,000 views on Youtube which he has yet to release an official video for and although a lot of his notoriety stems from the US he has been breaking down burriers with a majority of his fans and supporters ranging from the UK, Canada and Japan.

J-Mill has recently released his latest mixtape “Better Me Than You” and plans to drop another one called “Google Me: J-Mill The Rapper” late next month. His last single “Get Money Money”, which features Interscope Records Recording Artist Game’s brother Big Fase 100 of Brasil Street Records, received commercial airplay through one of the DMV’s (DC, MD, VA) largest urban radio stations (93.9 WKYS) earlier this year earning him even more exposure in building his brand.

tracks dope but your promo speech and website need some major work especially the website it looks amateur as hell, invest some $ and get that shit looking clean
Respect this, specialist, black, testing this and get ya necklace jacked
Your after name scratched up off my guestlist, party freak
You the type of nigga that'll hardly speak unless you spoken to
You throw a cold screw but sober up when I'm approaching you
At the same time we postin two niggaz on that ass
Thats gonna do what they supposed to do the limelight
Snatched away from you because its my night
Killarm' blaze hotter than twilight, you better get ya lines right
Half of these crabs cant even rhyme right
