psshhhh IMO Pun made Fat Joe what he is today and what he was when Pun was around...

the only reason fat joe still around is because what pun did for TS... Only dope album joe dropped was don cartagena.. his first album did what most first albums do... introduce... and the reason he was so popular BEFORE He died... was because of his FIRST album... Pun were alive ... id be bumpin his shit hard ... Same with most rappers..is ez to say they iconic cuz they dead... but people only say that after they dead... truth being theres no way to tell... I still think his music On this Album) stands on its own against ANY album u place next to it..

Dude i never said joe did not discover pun... im saying joe Got more exposure because what pun did... if he were still around.. i think cuban links and the rest of ts ...a couple like armagedon and triple seis would have been more active in the music scene... they were hot as well but they never got production for lp's.. I dont know why u tryna son me.. i think people here would agree that pun is to crakk was biggie was to puff... not in exact statistics but in propulsion of exposure... and i agree with u the whole way... exept that Pun Helped Joes Career by Joe discovering him... yes his numbers did drop.. but i bet he made a lot more money during that time...

i guess im partial to pun.... he was the shit when he was alive to me... when he died i found out in the school bus on the way to school.. during the time he was droppin his yeeeeeaaaa baby album... which was weak to my standards regarding him.... but... in lyrical ability there werent many rappers during that time that had his number...good points made by everyone... but in the east pun was the man... at least in my circles

Joe might have got more exposure from Pun, but not half the exposure he got from selling out and working with every shitty R&B Artist. Pun never went plat. Pun probably helped Joe with a small niche of hip hop fans, and street cred, but that doesn't really mean much to being mainstream. Our number one selling artist has less street credibility than me (Eminem).

In defense to Pun, he wrote all kinds of Joe's shit. And Joe has more horrible songs than Pun had songs.
