yeah its a program where u can make beats like your in front of a mixer n stuff like that the outline of it is fuckin dope cuz the GUI of the program allows u to drag a cord from one mixer to a compressor on the program its sweet but i want more knowledgeable folks to tell me if its worth my hard drive space or time...

It is. You can make some good joints on Reason. I like FL Studio more because it's what I'm used to, and it's a lot more fun to mess around and still come out with good shit. For Reason, you need a keyboard plugged in through a midi outlet on your PC to run it. If you want to make beats and mix, then yeah get it. You may want to try a few different programs first though, see which one you like the best.

I Say Reason 4.0 Is Your Best Bet, And You Don't Need A Midi Controller To Use It. I Have All The Popular Programs You Can Think Of, And Reason Is The Best One For Making Beats For One Reason, It Is So Simple To Use. Fl Studio Is Great But It's Difficult For A Beginner To Understand (Unless Your Using Loops) And Find Yourself Depending On Adding Too Much Effects (Which Uses Too Much CPU). Reason Works How You Think It Should, It's Professional Grade, And That's My Preference. I Occasionally Use Them All Together In Cubase Through Rewire To Achieve A Certain Effect, But Rarely. I Think You Should Stick With Getting Reason 4.0. Also Usb Midi Controllers Are Cheap, You Could Get A Decent One For Less Than $200.00. I'm Not A Dope Beat Maker And Have No Instrumental Background, But Here Are A Few Original Beats I Made With Reason 4.0.

It Comes With A Factory Sound Kit Which Is Mostly Individual Samples And Some Loops. But You Can Download Thousands Of Kits (Which Reason Calls Refills) Online, Just Use Google Or If You Know How To Find Them Illegally Then There You Go. You Also Can Use Any Sample Or Loop That Is In Wav Format. Hope This Helps.
