I got into rap when I was in 6th grade. My cousin had just got back from Cali where he was stationed in the Navy and I was hanging with him and his little brother like all the time. He introduced me to west coast gangsta rap and I was hooked. He gave me a bunch of tapes like Too Short - Short Dog's In The House, Ant Banks - Sittin On Somethin Phat, some E-40, South Central Cartel, NWA, Eazy-E, etc.

Honestly, my parents used to always play TLC, Gangsta's paradise, Crossroads, and nelly's country grammer cd when it came out. So i was always around it in small doses, but i didn't start rappin til Slow jamz came out. I remember the first time i seen the video..but from there its been history.

You All Like Got into rap through your own unique ways haha really different songs that made you get into rap where as for me it was Eminem Lose Yourself, which everyone seems to use that song as their reason
The Eagerness Is Putrid My Fluids Acid Leaves You Vexed Like Black Holes
Your Inept To Correct Stretched Like Fat Folds Perplexed Like Castro
I'm So Tenacious With Rhymes Sensatious So Patient With Lines
While You Fill Your Writtens With Filler And So Stay Vacant In Mind
I'm Amiable But Too Your Haters I Appease Your Arcane Admissions
Dark Games No Vision Your Avarice Lead To Scarred Shamed Partitions
So Callous In His Candor You Have To Coerce For Neglect
For Worse Or For Best I'm Confidant With A Verse Of Respect

DMX's X gonna give it you to ya in 2003 got me into hip-hop and made me wanna start looking deeper because before then I didn't have access to choose my own music and only listened to what my mom played on the radio which was mostly pop music. When I found that song I started doing my own research and found other rappers that I liked so that song is what started the whole process for me.
I don't drop rhymes all the time, but when I do, I prefer to spit fire

I can't think of a song, but I think it was 95, I got a tape/cd/radio boombox for my birthday. But no cd's or tapes until this dude I played basketball with gave me 36 chambers on tape and a week or 2 later It was written on cd. I knew every word to It was written before I had any idea what at least half of it meant. I still don't go a month without playing 1 track of it was written.
