Some help please...

I'm looking for at least a semi-legit set-up right now. I don't need that studio-type quality or anything, just something that sounds clear enough where people can enjoy the tracks. My budget...I'll say it's $500 MAX. If possible, I'm looking to spend much less.
So, can anyone hook me up? What the fuck do I need, 'cuz right now I'm spittin' into my Mac's built-in mic, which iono, maybe it's just me, but that's not that professional.

All you really need is a good condenser mic and a wind screen, which you can use a pantyhose for. A nice booth set up would be nice to, like some sound proof paneling to control the sound, get a nice program to record in as well, Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Audition, those are some good ones, you can get free copies of those around the net.

you dont need a booth though if you a have a small room with furniture in it because it absorbs background noise lol and reduces reverb and echo lol no joke a good mic will complete it then
