the other day senate passed the health care reform bill.

it was about split right down the middle.

if this bill passes everyone is going to have to have medical insurance, if not its punishible by criminal charges..


what the fuck???

am i the only one whose pissed that this is a step in the wrong direction, we dont need more stipulations we need free health care

yeah i don't agree with forcing people to buy insurance either seems fundamentally unamerican

I don't quite agree with a "free" health care system judging by Canadian/Mexico standards. I think our system health care wise was adequate and was considered the worlds best. As for our health insurance programs, they needed a major overhaul. I tend to lean more towards privatizing health insurance, having a public option available, and not forcing people to have health insurance.

The reason for the "force" is because it will "in time" pay for this 940 billion dollar law that at the moment just adds to our outrageous deficit.

like i think i agree with you but the health insurance system is already privatized and remains the same with this bill and a public option is pretty much the opposite of privitization lol & our system wasn't considered the worlds best maybe the doctors but thats only cause doctors make more money here than anybody else half the time if you see a dr in like a hospital they're not even american their egyptian indian or korean or some shit

but yeah the bill sucks and as for change you can believe in obama was the only major dem canidate who's health plan didn't force everybody to buy health insurance only made parents cover kids but look how that changed, pretty certain nancy pelosi isn't even human shes a succubus

Yeah. Forget moving to France. Their riots show you what universal healthcare is all about. Those people we're straight up pissed. As for the bill and some of these retarded folks that don't really care about it, than start caring now. It's ya future and you need to be informed so lemme break it down the best I can..

Startin' in 2014, you'll be fined for not having insurance. Starting now (or this year), you can't deny for pre-exisiting issues, you can't put a cap amount on lifetime coverage, and parents can keep they kids on their plans until they are 26 (which is nice because most college / universities require you to have insurance and it's a pain in the ass cos you broke as hell going to school and can't afford private insurance). This also eliminates the donut hole (kind of) and tha elderly that hits that stuff this year should get a rebate check. Abortions will pretty much go out the window (depending on the insurance companies).

The stuff that pisses me off is I already pay a lot of money out of my check to cover lazy ass people or older folk so tack on 35 million more people and my dollars get smaller with the huge tax increase. The dopest part about the bill is how Obama and congress eliminate middle men like Sallie Mae for student loans. I hate those bastards and the money I gotta pay 'em. Like 9,000 kats will lose they job. I hope that company goes under. Either way, it's thousands of pages and confusing as hell. I don't understand it all but understand if I don't want insurance, I shouldn't have to have it. It looks fairly good on paper but they's too mnay loop holes for abuse and we can't afford it right now. Like Riggz said, it should help but they better hope it works out that way because if China ever wants they money back....Damn.
