Hello,
I have "Adobe Audition 3.0" and I was wondering some good "Mastering" settings, and if someone could tell me what "Mastering" is/does it would be greatly appreciated.
I've been just moving the setting bars until I liked how it sounded, but I don't know if there is a nice simple setting I can use every time.

Same here dude. I use Adobe as well. I purchased Auto Tune 5 and set the mastering levels. So all I have to do is just select my Auto Tunes format within Adobe.
Let me know if you come up with something too man.

it's gonna change everytime unless you can manage to get exactly the same aplitude of every track everytime you do a song so the mastering process will be different each time

i guess this thread is kinda old, but i'd recommend mastering more with vst or dx plugins, like izotope and waves bundles cuz those r actual mastering plugins, while basically all the adobe audition plugins are for mixing. i dont use none of the standard adobe audition plugins except eq really, becuz its basically the same. but waves bundles work wonders if u use them correctly, and they hav pretty nice presets. same with ozone. and mastering is basically the finishing touches to make a track sound legit.. usually using eq, compression, maximizers/limiters, and sometimes exciters, stereo widening and maybe reverb
