I just make whatever I feel and label it afterward. Let the vibes and energy build itself

i Donno, Whatever i Wnna Do at The Time. Sometimes it's Just Metal, Sometimes Slow Blues Rock, Sometimes Country Type Shit, Avant-Garde, Neo-Classical Whatever. (This is Obviously Referring To My Guitar Playing).
When i Make 'Beats' (Which im Gnna Start Getting Back into Now That i Have a New PC) i Usually Make Techno, But Once Again it Can Branch Out into Shit Like Hardstyle, Trance, Etc.
Aaaaand On The Rare Occasion i Write a Rhyme it Can Fit into Any Genre Really. ill Touch On Just About Anything, Just Depends What 'Genre' i Have an idea For at The Time.

I let the beat ride and the music tells me what to write as the melody floats.
I like experimenting with different sub-genres in Hip-Hop though. I like switching from a gangsta track to a hustle one...and then a hustle one to a political one...then political to controversial, etc etc.

for me it depends on the mood of the beat...everything i do is hip hop derived
but sometimes the finished product takes a major twist due to the tempo and subject matter..bein from the 808 i do alot of chanty hooks and i sing
so there's also an R&B flavor to it...depending on the beat some of the
shyt comes out soundin like Hip Pop...haha.with the mixx tapes they're pretty
much full on hip hop cuz the beats are real aggressive and Dirty south
grungy so they're alot different than our originals..

Yeah right now im jus experimenting too. when i first started i jus said fuck it ima make whatever i think sounds good.. i find that experimenting in the house/techno genre really helps me learn the program better than anything else.. im workin on a 2 different house tracks and a mellow hip hop track rite now
rele need to learn how to play a piano =\ theres alot of tunes and melodies i think up but when it comes to using the computer, i lose 90 percent of it on the way from my brain to the speakers

yeah like everybody up here i jus look n listen to the beat usually if it's dark i'll get a bit gangsta about the hood and sometimes against haters
but it depends on the beat like i said

I know that when I produce a beat I don't normally have a sound in mind. What I do is... I visualize a picture or a scene from my imagination.... and I make a beat around what I see in that picture or whatever.
For example, I may just see a endless field, heavy winds, dark clouds... and make a beat around that image. To this day... every beat I listen too that's I made I can still see the pictures in my mind.

That how I enjoy music... it has always been that way for me. Especially since when I was younger all I had was just cassette tapes... never saw the covers or saw music videos at the time... so when I listened to it, my imagination went wild. Lookin off into nothing, my mind making the music come alive for me. Pullin myself into the music.

good topic of discussion
when i'm tryna label my beats i always end up making up names to try to describe what it sounds like because imo its really hard to stereotype a piece of hip hop since hip hop grew out of funk, disco, rock, r&b, & soul samples a hip hop style beat could sound like any of those genres
i've never really tryed to make music on a generic template of what you expect from a genre, i feel its limiting musically, the only thing really pravelent in all my music is a hip hop paced bpm, heavy bass, and good punchy drums, the rest varies from track to track based on what i think sounds good in the vibe
