The Greatest

The greatest they say
I am the greatest of all time
The crowd expected everything of me
Like a biography
When I jumped in the ring as if it were a swimming pool
I was ready to win
I had witnessed many swings like I lived on a playground
From those very swings I'd bob and weave
Like fishing bait gliding thru the water…
My body was a blank canvas
Till the day an artist could finally
Leave his mark on me…
The greatest... they say…
I remember holding my title
With excitement flowing thru my veins
Anger departing my heart
Accomplishment filling my soul
The greatest...
I once was, now I sit here leaving the world
Like a rocket first lifting off
The greatest, was the greatest
Till Parkinson's disease took
The spirit of a champ out of me
The greatest…

^illlll, The Name Of The Poem Made Me Think About Muhammad Ali But i Never Expected it To Be About Him. Good imagery Too.

Anger departing my heart
Accomplishment filling my soul <-- Also a Good Bar.

This was deffo on point. The analogies here were great and story was nice.
It also had that grittiness that you usually bring with your pieces which, as ive said before, always makes it a good read.
keep up

I like how you're expanding/coming into your writing style a lot more. Less anger, more depth. lol. Good job.
