46. Hip Hop gives you the freedom to express your opinions however you wish. It allows ur mind to expand on current events that face our nation. Artists can paint pictures with their lyrics like an animator just like any type of genre, but, only i feel with Hip Hop can you express your true meaning on what you feel. Give it a Street side opinion cause nobody is ever really heard on the streets so they have Hip Hop artists do it for them. And it takes mad balls to even hit up topics about what goes on anywhere in the world. Just look at Tupac...

47. Hip-hop is the hood's version of punk rock. Or it used to be lol. Its about rebellion, freedom, social and political awareness, and one of the things that America has thrived on for years: taking pieces of different elements and combining them into something new and improved. Hip-hop and punk rock share so many characteristics, its ridiculous. Hip-hop is poetry set over urban rhythms.
