It makes sense in the same way that their are numerous racist, sexist, gayist, etc. scholarships in the world albeit funded by private individuals but they're still racist, sexist, gayist, or inclusive in one way or another.

on a seperate note, plex, you should make the site automerge doubleposts. It really cleans shit up.

i don't necessarily think being in poverty makes u stupid, intellectuals make plenty of dumb decisions, yet they're still smart when it comes to things like math, science, reading etc. etc.

even the smartest person can be poor, cuz i know plenty of celebrities that r stupid as fuck so judging someone based off their income only makes u that much dumber

being raised in violent drug infested areas will most likely capture u into that type of environment, but there's plenty of people who were raised amongst the crime and use it as a reason to get out so they go to school and work hard, then there's places that r too poor to even go to school so they may lack the intelligence to solve problems but they may be be enlightened in other areas philosophically or watever,

intelligence can refer to many things, and so can stupidity

Chris is a black kid with a highschool diploma and no job experience in Maine.
He has a great personality and engages in the interview perfectly.


He is competing for the job against a white male high school drop out.
A great personality but a little less passionate. He does ok in the interview.
His dad coincidentally grew up in the owners same small town. The owner
even mentions how that is pretty cool.

The owner is a 55 year old white male, who doesn't appear racist. He loves hip hop music.

Who gets hired?

Now put that on a larger scale, in schools, etc. Same shit.

I'm not going to sit here and advocate Affirmative Action for the rest of the night. I'm saying, I have seen it in action.
