you won't get that for less than a g, "name brand" isn't really important as long as the company doesn't use really shitty parts, and i wouldn't recommend compaq, my last comp was a compaq and it just stopped working out of nowhere one day, same shit happened to everybody i know whos had a compaq, i wouldn't get vista either, its just been released so its still gonna have alotta bugs/compatibility isssues

theres no point in getting vista...its more for really really high end graphical/video gaming PC's...it aint nothin special....stick wit XP until vista is the new XP...as in....its all there is out there...till then...XP is where u should stay....n wat u asked for...can be built for about the same price...fuck name brand...its a waste of money...n they always stack useless shit onto ur computer...go to a frys or somethin n have them build u a computer...or find someone who will....that way u get exactly wat u want....wit no if ands or buts like buying a fuckin name brand wit watever they decided to put in dat bitch... www.newegg.com can help ya
