im not very religious either, i sometimes go to church on sundays with my great grandmother, shes a Jehovahs Witness, i believe most of the things they teach actually...they seem to have alot of answers to religious questions...but i think their a bit too restrictive but still if i grow up to be religious i may choose to be a jehovahs witness...they seemed to be the most honest, reasonable, and sensable imo...
1.Nodrunken jesus wrote:do you know how christianity started?samurai JK wrote:well ima a christian i belive dat jesus rose from the dead and is on his way at anytime and thats what i grew up belivin and still are!
do you know that storys about a man who was born from a "virgin" mother, and was put on a crucifix and somehow was ressurected back to life a few days later existed hundreds of years before jesus?
do you know where everything in the bible comes from?
do you know theres been sections of the bible removed and added hundreds of years after it was compiled, and the bible wasn't even created 'till many generations after what supposedly happened in it did?
do you know that their were religions that existed 1-2 thousand years before christianity, if their is only one god and religion thats right why wasn't christianity followed instead of these other religions?
do you know that even the pope says that you shouldn't take the bible literal?
why aren't dinosaurs or primative people mentioned in the bible when we know they existed?
why has christianity changed its views on the solar system and the earths structure in the past 400 years? if the bible is words from god the only omnipotent being why would he have given false information that isn't even remotely close ot the truth
2.No, is that a true story
3.Kind Of.
4. that isnt a proven fact, but some things in the bible have foretold the future..even today which i found amazing...
5.previous religions were full of lies and false hood...during that time there was no such thing as a one true religion because god only had people, who were faithful to him...like moses, and noah and such.
6.i dont listen to that stupid ass pope
7.actually dinosaurs are mentioned if im not mistaken i just dont know where but someone showed me...and theres no such thing as cavemen and so forth..
8.what do u mean the bible changed its views on the solar system? i never heard of that although, i did know that the bible solved the theory about the world being flat...

Lately. I've became a little more educated on Christianity. Even though, I was born a Christian, went to Church for the better part of my early life. I really never actually absorbed what they were saying. So finally now that I'm older. I have the ability to comprehend a little more.
First of all, Samu, you're actually not a true Christian. A true Christian dedicates his life to jesus. The activities you listed are all sins. Actually being on, Illest Lyrics, constantly is a sin. Its called Idolatry. Which is basically being obsessed with something. You're obsessed with pointless activities like playing video games. Hanging out on Illest Lyrics.
I'm not saying that Christians aren't allowed to sin. Though if you are just sinning constantly. You don't live your life for jesus. You're not a Christian. You're are hypocrite.
Actually. Further more true Christians don't even consider it a religion.

well "religion" can be a good thing, but basically strip all the ludacrious stories and organization on how its followed, and all it is, is common sensesarahotic wrote:I think religion is a good thing, and helps lead you to the afterlife without fear or anything... helps with struggles and helps you have someone to turn to, i guess. I really dont have a religion, but I'm trying to get into the whole 'i beleive in god' thing again, I mean i guess i do beleive, but i really dont know as much as i should to be considered faithful to a religion. My mom is actually wiccan/ paegan... and really doesnt have an influence on my point of veiw on religion, but its cool sometimes to hear her point of veiw on things.
you shouldn't kill people, you shouldn't steal things, you shouldn't betray people, you shouldn't be greedy, if you do good things in life, when it ends good things will happen to you in a good place
you're telling me it takes a supernatural being to come up with that?
and turning to religion doesn't help you with your struggles, all it does is give you a false sense of hope and confidence, its no different than drugs realistically no supernatural being is going to make your life better just because you want him to all it does is help build the confidence and hope you already possess any type of crutch does the exact same thing, if you can get through something with religion you can get through something without religion as much as you want to believe theirs a supernatural force out their to help you its much more fathomable that sometimes things go your way sometimes they don't
you seem to be a typical person you want to be religious because the general consensus is that religion is good and necessary, but theirs dozens of religions and only one could possibly be right the oldest existing religions that still exist aren't even close to near the beginning of mankind, the ancient civilizations had much older religions closer to the beginning of mankind and none of them are really similar to newer religions and believe it or not almost all ancient civilizations are more advanced than the civilizations in "biblical" times
learning about your moms beliefs would interest you considering christianity stole alot of things from paegans
imo, organized religion isn't neccessary at all, if you live a good life with morales whats the neccessity of going to church every sunday and following a religion full of simpletons, especiallly since religion has been responsible for more deaths than every single war & major disease epidemic put togther
Respect this, specialist, black, testing this and get ya necklace jacked
Your after name scratched up off my guestlist, party freak
You the type of nigga that'll hardly speak unless you spoken to
You throw a cold screw but sober up when I'm approaching you
At the same time we postin two niggaz on that ass
Thats gonna do what they supposed to do the limelight
Snatched away from you because its my night

Half of these crabs cant even rhyme right

not at all, but where do u think the laws about no killing,no stealing and such came from..do u seriously think that anyone would have thought of, or even given a shit about these laws if no one in authority set bounderies for them...drunken jesus wrote: well "religion" can be a good thing, but basically strip all the ludacrious stories and organization on how its followed, and all it is, is common sense

basically, religions use to rule the world..so whatever the bible said to do or not to do, that was the laws which is why it may seem simple now but yea i dont quite know how to explain it well but i hope ur understanding.

I'm saying im not devoted to it. And if you beleive in it enough it does help you with your struggles.. havent you seen 7th heaven? i mean come on. it just depends how devoted you are. and to some people it does do all of those things.
First of all, if i was a typical person, i'd have a religion, most ppl do, and i am pretty well aware that there are many religions.
You cant base what kind of person i am by what i think about religion. If you think I'm a typical person, then that's great. I was just stating my opinion. And you're opinions are obviously that religion is pointless... and maybe that im just another person.
Actually i have no idea what you think, nor do i care unless it is something positive, and not contradicting what i have to say. To some people religion is necessary and it DOES give some people a sense of happiness or whatever. And actually... from what i've learned from my mom, paeganism is alot different than christianity in some ways... and shes not only paegan, remember. anyway i appreciate your veiws on what i had to say, and you're right about some things. It's just all based on people's opinions and how they were raised.
