You need either a computer with a program that'll record vocals. Or a sound board/mixer.
And yes...a good mic ofcourse. Condensed mic preferably.
This shit I'm selling here is a steal bruh...you should get on it. It's everything you need. Board, Mic & Mic chord. All you need is a pop filter (which isn't that serious) and ur good to go.

or for some of u...instead of worrying about a sound card...u can get a HUB either USB or Firewire...firewire being like 40 times faster....it really depends on the HUB u get...i got one for like 240 or so...i dont really remember...lol and its got 2 mic inputs that both support XLR condenser phantom power/1/4 inch jacks..that u can put guitars and such...and it has MIDI ins and OUT, SPDIF's, and Digital Ins and Out which is that lil red laser light, but in the end its basically an external Sound card because it tells you to make it the primary sound card and disable or uninstall the default sound card...in my case i have to disable it..cuz this lame ass x64 Win XP automatically re installs it if u un install it....but u can get a good condenser mic for like 120 that comes with a shock mount and sometimes u can get a instrument mic...if u go with MXL they got a good deal going on with that...if anyone is lookin for a good mic thats easily affordable, but in the end with all of this or not, i used to record in the middle of my room, and the shit would bounce off and give my vocals and others vocals a gay delay/reverb effect depending on the volume of the person recording, but learning how to mix obviously u cant tell on my most recent work, but now ive set my mic up in the opening of my closet by the corner and set up clothes behind the mic so it picks up the vocals right away and doesnt bounce or give it a real open sound which sucks, almost like its live and you dont want a LIVE on stage type sound, i remember recording on that 8 track, shits really easy to use a 8 year old could master it in about 10 minutes, and be recording themselves like theyve been doing it forever...lol...i would def reccomend that 8 track to anyone who has the money for it, not to mention it comes with a mic that looks new, i dont think ive ever seen that, probably one of the mics that were a back up er somethin...so if u can get ur hands on it....jump frog or get beat to da other side of da road
