Word @ Judges. That's a great idea.
Yes, Pest, Im definitely going to fork over the money.
Audible, an audio tourney would definitely be considered, if we could get more active audio heads to the site.
If anyone is willing to chip in some cash for this, I need you to hit me up.
Im hearing some great ideas involved in this.
I think we can make this tournament as big as possible, and I think ANYONE should join in, rookie or vet. I feel like it's not costing anyone anything to join this, and it could help elevate alot of people even if they didn't win. I also think this would push people to improve and come with their best stuff in a tournament like this.
Anyone else have anything they would like to discuss about this?
PLEASE respond, the more feed and ideas I can get, the better this can be worked out for everyone involved.

@ Loon, that's some real ass shit man. I'll hit you up with the info of how to get it to me. The best way will prob be just to mail it to me. This is projected to be a summer tourney, probably around the 4th of July for a start. Sign ups would be sooner honestly.
Also Loon, that would make me want to give you a judge position since you contributed. I will probably be a judge myself, and I know Mutual is a very fair person, so I agree to let him get a spot as well.

whats the cash tally at?
As for a panel, who's on the likely to panel roster?
And most importantly, tactics for pulling more heads into this requires publicity, any body have some ideas to get that portion going? maybe someone make a flier we can spam every where at random?

only one way to find out. and thats to do it.
I got fiiiive on it.
heres how its done:
just like a REAL boxing match.
lightweights (rooks)
welterweights (Proven contenders)
heavyweights (vets)
This is a spectator sport too. and votes are votes.
at the race track, the fastest guy races the next fastest guy
and it dont matter if that next fastest guy is an unknown. Cause hes as fast as you. A rookie on illest dont mean rookie in real life..
And WHO is voting has a LOT to do with the ratings here.
The only REAL way to get HONEST votes is to make the authors anonymous
murk is promoting. support it
theres no such thing as bad publicity.
I'm down

$50 right here when it gets serious
Jack is right though, we dont want our proven skilled vets
goin up against lightweights
The main event(s) VETS ONLY. GRUDGE MATCHES etc
BUT these vets gotta take on a proven newcomer here between now and then
at least 2 a month. IMO
when you start promoting, visitors will come to find out who the
heavy hitters and favorites are.
just like baseball, its NOTHING without the teams/players back story

I dont see a point in seperated this into groups.
My idea, I run it. Enough said.
We cant get enough people to do that UNLESS you guys started helping recruit people, and I dont see any of that happening right NOW, so why would I think its going to happen by the beginning of June? The mods cant do EVERYTHING. The community needs to step up as a whole.
I like Panda's idea of building a flier of some kind and getting that shit posted everywhere. Facebook, twitter, whatever the fuck. Some kind of link. I can write the article, and we can put the sign ups together, the link it to a thread like that.

Jack Da Rippa wrote:no offense to anybody, espcially not you Orf, but rookies would be murked regardless if this is promoted. Why should our vets step to the side and watch our rookies get murdered by a bunch of talented noobs?? Kinda seems pointless unless were having an elevation tournament.
Just have a select panel of vets who WANT to sit this out to judge the tourney. Otherwise, there'll be too much confusion over what is and isn't a vet.

I'll make sure we have a solid panel of people to judge this, and people that are active enough to make sure it isn't slept on.
