Good question. Sadly this is Wayne's time in the spotlight right now, especially with the younger crowd. But...Em does steamroll sales with reputation alone. So it's a good question. I won't say it's impossible.

Another end of it is going to depend on marketing. How well will Interscope fund for letting the world know that the new Slim Shady album is coming.

I didn't say albums. I said his first released single to each album. I even listed them lol

His first two albums were instant classics. Hands down. It wasn't his albums that had to grow on me...his albums were hotter than anything else coming out at the time. Fresh face...dope lyrics...productions and collabs by Dr. Dre and other high-profile talents...His albums had it all! It was the label's/artist's choice of singles that were poor. Even his second round of singles for each album were better choices.

To be honest, I don't think Em can top Wayne's sales of c3. everyone is still up in the air rite now whether em will come hard or not... b4 c3 dropped wayne had ALOT of exposure n erryone KNEW he was fire(altho the album did dissapoint). he steadily built his fanbase and cashed in at its peak.

with eminem it mite jus work exactly the opposite tho... who knows

release date of may 19th, with the relapse 2 later in the year

It's fucking Eminem. It will sell. He's been dormant long enough, the mainstream needs this. What are the stats? Something like 75% of rap music fans are white kids from the burbs? Yeah. Em will sell. I'll admit, I'll be a little disappointed if he doesn't outsell Lil Wayne, but music is objective and the styles and trends have changed since Em's last album. He may have a tough time competing, but at the same time, he's fucking Eminem. Even his bad albums went multiplatinum. I'll buy an Eminem flop before I'll buy any of the shit playing on the radio right now.

As long as his singles get the airplay that his old ones did. He should able to sell over 3 mill easily (even encore did 5), I'm not saying in the first week.

Eminiem will definitly sell more worldwide than lil wayne. im not sure about america coz u people are weird when it comes to sales lol. americas the only place that falls for that lil wayne is dope shit. over here lil wayne is virtually unknown outside of hip hop fans. i hope eminem does well but im not too excited based on `crack a bottle.` for me when someone takes that long to come with an album its because its not up to standard. i mean the slim shady persona is played out big time but it will be interesting to see what he comes up with. and lmao at everywhere you look lil wayne is being hated on yet still sells a shit load.
