Im new to this site. I write a lot of diss raps but they're universal. here to sharpen my skills(multies, personals, metaphors, similes, and punchlines). hope to learn from some of the ill rhymes ive been reading!!!...and i originally go by OMNI but thought it was too short so i added the FLOW. kind of regret it now...fuck it!!!

Alright I'll introduce myself to this site now that I'm convinced I'll be a regular here. I'm truly diggin' the community here and appreciatin quite a few audios and writtens. My name is Javad Luckey, born and raised in Oregon and Washington, with some time in the DC area too, and then most recently in Chi town before leaving the US altogether and heading to China for the past five years. Now I live in a scenic mountain city about 7500 feet above sea level, in the foothills leading into Tibet. I manage a guesthouse, am building a cafe and starting an educational tourism company. Also do volunteer work with with a rural development and youth empowerment organization, and teach some spoken English classes at the local university. I am pretty much the hip hop community in this city (although I have seen two subpar pieces of graffiti done by some cat called SOAR, and have met a few locals who are learning to b-boy and I've done a few performances with them) but I've been building some networks with emcees and producers in other parts of China. There isn't a huge hip hop scene anywhere in China, but its comin up, always a handful of new artists arisin, although most of it ain't any good. That'll change tho, most emcees just tryin to copy the musical and fashion style of what's popular in the US (although in reality half of the hip hop scene in the US is also doin the same thing). There are a few artists who are genuine artists, especially in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and a couple in Beijing and Shanghai, but I'm sure there will be more in the near future. There are a few lone foreign emcees and producers here and there throughout the country, but most of them are here for a year or two since they can have a lot of free time to hone their craft while in China since full time work teaching English is only 15 hours per week and is easy as shit. So yeah, there's you lesson in the small world of China hip-hop.

I'm married, with a baby boy just born six weeks ago in July named Rayhan Rees Luckey. I'm workin on an album, called 'The Rhythm of the Rise' that I'll be finished up with soon. Gonna make this a free download, as my purpose in being hip-hop and making music has nothing to do with making money. I wanna build community and network with other artists, in fact I'm mostly coming to this site in the hope of networking with some people, and hoping to be able to get some collabs with some other emcees and producers goin on through here. Also hoping to hear some feedback on my stuff, to improve what I've got to offer. And hoping to hear some new sounds from emcees and producers on here, to expand my own repertoire, which I hope will in turn help me develop new styles and sounds. So I'm all about giving feedback on whatever is dropped on here.

One note, if you have your music up on soundclick or a few other sites, they're blocked in China, so I can't listen to your music without going through many annoying steps. So if you want me to listen to your shit, your gonna need to upload it on to the site itself here, or go through Hulshare.com or Supashare.net, just not soundclick or facebook or myspace.
