Looking For Help An Guidence

Hey everybody my name is Dylan. im not quite sure to start really...Ive lately gained an interest in rapping/freestyling. These past few months have been super stressful and depressing and the only thing that has really kept my spirits up is music. Music has always had a very powerful impact on my life and i include it in my everyday routine. However as i said above lately i have become greatly interested in rapping/freestyling i beleave it feel that music, rap in general has really giving me alot over the years and i want to start to give it back i owe it to take part. So with that out of the way i have been trying to just write as much as i can but i havnt been able to get anything really it just seems like extreme writers block or maybe im nervous to cross the line if you guys follow me, im buying "the rappers handbook" ebook and i think that will help me out alot but in the mean time what can i do to get the creative juices flowing....

then 2nd go to the scripts and post some of the shit you've writtin so then we will see what level your at...

cuz right now we dont know if your rakim or just another no person trying to improve

you need to post your shit so we know where we can help you improve than ask around for ppl to battle and to collab with that will help you so go post your shit....

another thing dawg, is listen to the audio chamber to get tips on recording if thats what ur about. or, read alot of the drops in the scriptures. u can learn alot from the cats on here. youll kinda see how to structure, what type of poet u wanna be or jus pick up tips. fact of the matter is, u gotta start somewhere. and always know, not everyone will like ur shit. the sooner u get that in ur head, the more fearless youll be when droppin sumtn or creatin sumtn. welcome tho. everyone on here is legit wit errythin so i wouldnt hesitate to ask if ur confused.

thanks man that was very incitful..i wrote alot but i seem to just write in huge blocks in you know what i mean and theres no real basis or structer like here are of the rhymnes i wrote over the past few days.....

tha shit was pretty basic. kinda like u jus tried to make shit ryme. but all in all props for droppin sumtn. maybe a lil more effort. the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is jus that lil "extra." haha. keep it movin tho youll catch on

naw homie i dont think u should really buy the rappers handbook ebook. i've read some of it, nd to be honest i kinda think its bullshit.

just rap what u feel, and if nothings comin to u, like said above, dont force it. jus try to concentrate. what do u wanna say in the rap. if ur really just starting, try to just rap about anything to build ur technique. in my opinion, freestyling and writing go hand in hand (at least for me) so if i hav writer's block, i wont be able to spit a very good freestyle.
but try to freestyle pretty often, but not too much. definitely spend more of ur time writing,
