Only a couple years ago; 50 Cent and Jadakiss were in a squabble because Jada collaborated with Ja Rule on his monster hit New York.
The beef between Ja Rule and 50 Cent is well documented while the Jadakiss and 50 Cent animosity was more subtle.
Jadakiss released one straight up diss to 50 Cent that was an underground cult classic Checkmate along with a few other freestyles and subliminals.
50 Cent kept the beef alive through radio interviews, a classic argument with Styles P, his single Piggy Bank and throughout mixtapes, and albums.
Mutual respect was apparent almost from the beginning with great hesitation by both to disregard the other. 50 Cent even stated in multiple interviews that he respected Jada and he’d squash the beef and possibly even sign him.
Eventually Jadakiss said that there would be a possibility of a collaboration between G-Unit and D-Block. Now it’s clear that the famed New York rappers are going to work together.
With this song, Jadakiss enlists 50 Cent and Rell on a very gangster track that has been anticipated by their fans for many months.
