The duo that carried us into the new decade is back again, same theme, it’s still all about the chronic. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre with an unfortunate appearance by Akon.
Dr. Dre still has a great mystique to him and Snoop can bring that standard charisma that makes even his worse verse worth listening to.
The good news is, this will be the only song on the album that is based around weed (I’m sure there will be scattered references throughout the album) which is a great balance considering that Dre has been rapping about pot smoking for the better half of 20 years.
Detox is shaping up to be the album of the year in 2011. There is no doubt that it will being getting the most coverage featuring guest spots from the likes of Eminem, Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, and many more.
