Anchor...

Post by The Gonz »

... I never thought I'd see one of my wishes granted/
Maybe its time I paint my life on a different canvas/
When shit hits the fan, its hard to predict the damage/
And forget a bandage cuz a scar is never quick to vanish/
Is it a disadvantage to be less concerned with what the rest deserve/
And should I question the lessons learned on this quest to earn/
What happens when your best is worse than what's expected of you/
And depression drugs you into thinking everyone's a step above you/
Like there's no one left to love you and you're always messin up/
So you feel threatened every time we send a message, so we guess its us/
Then we start to wonder if maybe you're better off without us/
And as the time passes, we wonder if we should ever talk about it/
Like maybe your thoughts were clouded, maybe you've changed a little/
Maybe the pain made you insane and brittle and made you aim the pistol/
At yer brain to drain and chisel all of the pent up anger/
So now we're stuck watching you float away when we should have been your anchor/
