The Life & Death Of Whitey Mc'Cracker

Post by Enlightend »

i learned lesson in life...i guess im a fight... just cause im white
an blessed with the mic... does it matter? fuck im reppin it right
but it will to some people... in hip hop i feel i'll never be equal
askin cant i be real?... shady did it is there no room for a sequel
at work i free just to advance the time then i get a chance to shine
open mic at a clup in Jerz on da Camden line where they rant & rhyme
i take da train up practice my game... cus i wanna aim up drop insane stuff
i dose off to pac paint a picture... the ghetto, drugs, hate and handcuffs

i get to the spot yawn, stretch my arms, and stand up........

the atmosphere was banging club was tight but my ears were ringing
stares was bringin fear i feel im shrinking dont be scared im thinking
i make my way to the bar quick, only thought grab up the fear.. squash it
cus i gotta get calm.. its then i here mc's dropping that hot shit
i tell myself remember why you came all the way to jersey from maine
quit being a dame... i picked up my remains made a change blurted my name
proceeded ta spit heated verses diseased words out the speakers burstin
into flames and i keep on spurtin and like a beast im working the beat
i was on pace to elongate there faces i contemplate.. mayn they cant all hate
i even here um start ta call my name but this thing happened dat i call fate

i guess i had the right raps i was just the wrong race........

we wasnt battlin but they was dissin my spits... cracker wigga an shit
i started clenchin my fist... mad but fuck... i wasnt hittin at crips
i hear an explosion then commotion i fell forward reality broke in
my skin was broken... a hole in my chest from a gun still smoking
an now im grabbing the sky reaching but there runnin passing me by
my reaction is why he says honky u wasnt rapping just asking to die

woow it totally threw me for a curve near the end ..and that finisher turned this into a sweeet read...ill admit i was not impressed with the verbage on some of the lines..esp compared to ya usual scheme..but the way the scenario played out in the last 4 bars or so made this shit come full circle...nice bro...

This shit was fucking dope. I can relate directly to everything you've stated, the skills, the hate received, the difficulty in getting a foothold, being told you're a copycat, I feel this piece very deeply. Very nice. The end was tragic, but it usually is when you do what you love and the whole world hates you for it.

That guy needs to go to other clubs. Guys risk a life in jail because the white guy is rapping? lol.

Yeah, the storyline was dope, and near the end it was very compelling. I feel you could have been a bit better with the rhyme schemes at times, but with the superficial stuff aside, it was a good read and attractive story.

At the same time, pick the name Whitey McCracker and you're kind of asking for it.
