I like how this didn't really have to have any direction to go anywhere. Some very good lines here. IMO, I think the Rugged stuff at the end made this take a different direction slightly, but I can also see how it was relative. I think, though, that everything before that was done very well, and seemed to show a little more ability with your lines that I didn't notice before in any other verses I've read. I think you should get strictly topical with it and open up some more boundaries people might have set for Quix as a writer. Nice, nice drop.

In general I thought this was a pretty solid drop, but the rugged diss thing in this instance was kinda whack. The flow had a nice feel about it, and I appreciated the direction you were goin with it at the beginning. I just really wasn't really feeling the veerin' off into the Rugged diss thing, just felt completely unrelated to where you were originally going with it. Your goin along with some elevated ideas, then suddenly it's like "fuck rugged!" and then your back to your elevated spit and then finish off with a "oh yeah, and by the way, don't forget.. fuck rugged!". I feel like holding on to that hate in the midst of a piece about becoming the best emcee you can be takes a lot away from the overarching message your tryin to get across here. Hate don't elevate. Gotta let that shit go, seems like an unnecessary grudge to be holding on to so strong. Really brings the potential of this piece down quite a bit. But parts of this piece were damn good, with a bit of editing on it this'd be a real good drop... Stay up...
