what's a fair price for a beat?

what's a fair price for a beat?

Post by drunken jesus »

haven't really ever pushed my music like i should've and now the markets extremely oversaturated but i figure its pointless to just sit on hundreds of quality tracks so imma set up shit to move them here in the near future and have one my lil homies run with it

so what in your opinion is a fair price for a beat? i've gotten anywhere from a bill to a g but i dunno what the average price is cuz i don't buy beats, imma charge less for sampled shit cuz that can cause legal headaches for the artist/label but original work i def want a decent price for

yea thats whats up my man. i like your beats and they sound well made and pretty dope. but depends on what you wana do with your beats. including leasing and selling out right. i think to BUY a beat depending on the beats quality itself probably 100$. i mean someone out there is bound to buy some beats eventually so go with your instinct jesus

yeah i was thinking around a bill would be fair, may do some multi tier shit depending on the rights included (ex. a bill for exclusive rights but also % of publishing royalties 2 bills and no royalties etc.) fucked up my lawyer connect so imma just have to jack some other producers contract language that looks legit

Lease for 75.

Exclusive rights 150-____ depending on quality

Sampled beats should be up there too man. I know cutting and sampling isnt the easiest thing so dont let that money go low.

Get it man

yeah sampled jawns can take a minute but its a whole lot easier mixing a professionally mixed & mastered sample with a drumline and maybe a bassline than it is mixing a dozen or so instruments from scratch, so i dunno i don't value sampled shit as much cuz it don't take me nearly as long

good looking out on the input yall
