You may or may not know that Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj were dating up until earlier this month. You also may or may not know that Minaj’s LA mansion was vandalized and robbed of about $200,000 worth of jewellery and other valuables earlier this week. Coincidentally, the robbery happened to take place the day after she reunited with Drake (If you recall, they had a huge beef going on – complete with sub-par diss tracks – for a while there).
So of course, it makes sense that everyone jumped to the conclusion that Meek was the one behind it.
Anyway, the Philadelphia rapper – who’s currently out in Houston for the Superbowl weekend – refuses to let people go on thinking that he had anything to do with it without at least taking his side of the story into consideration. When approached by a cameraman, Mill had this to say:
“Do I look like I rob people? I got about $450,000 on my neck $80,000 on the neck, does it look like I rob people?”
And in true Meek Mill fashion, he got the last word just before he rolled up his window and rolled out:
“You’re asking too many f–king questions about my personal life.”
Meek, here’s some advice for you that you should have picked up a long time ago – The day you decide to become a public figure and date someone who’s as wrapped up in the media as your ex Nicki Minaj is, your personal life is no longer your own. Did you learn nothing from that battle (ish thing) you had with Drake?
Anyway, what do y’all think – Should the media be questioning Meek or should everyone just leave him alone so that he can fade into obscurity?
You know what? That last option isn’t sounding too bad the more I think about it.
